Did you know heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States?
According to the US Department of Health & Human Services, almost twice as many women die of cardiovascular disease (both heart disease and stroke) than from all cancers combined. This year, one out of every two women will die as a result of cardiovascular disease.
Heart disease is also a leading cause of disability among women.
As part of our participation on the Spirit of Women Hospital Network, we are committed to helping women learn about the importance of risk factors, how they can prevent cardiovascular disease, and how to recognize the symptoms of a heart attack and stroke.
Our diagnostic imaging technologies include a state-of-the-art 64-slice CT scanner that can provide physicians with highly detailed images of the cardiovascular system. Other services include wellness education, cardiac catheterization and, in the event that cardiovascular disease occurs, a certified cardiac rehabilitation program.
